"Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon is awesome. It doesn't take long to get through but I absolutely loved the 5 or so hours that I spent with it. The pacing in the campaign is well done and never overstays its welcome. Cutting out the RPG mechanics is a very good idea for such a short game and it requires less thought than Far Cry 3 as a result, allowing you to sit back and enjoy the experience. If you're interested in the crazy '80s aesthetic, comic book visuals, and silly references to movies, games, and technologies past, then I'd wholeheartedly recommend dropping the 15 bucks on this little slice of cyber-paradise." - Cameron Wasmund

"Dig out those leg warmers and sweat bands, poof out that big hair, and warm up the VCR, because were heading back to the 80s in the coolest, funniest, and awesomest game in years. Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon is a hilarious parody of the great action movies of the 1980s that takes the player on a ridiculously fun ride that will have you laughing at every corny turn."

CheatCC says: "Over the years, Ive made several attempts to forget the 80s. It was a terrible decade filled with bad hair, leather jackets, and hammer pants a bygone era, best left forgotten to the annals of history. Until now."

Rev:Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon is a standalone downloadable that takes the core mechanics of Far Cry 3, slaps on a fresh coat of day-glo neon paint, and sends players on one of the more idiotic adventures in recent video game history. Regular, vanilla Far Cry 3 was Max's favorite game of 2012, and Blood Dragon somehow managed to please him even more.

Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon is a spin-off of Far Cry 3 featuring the same open-world exploration and game mechanics with a few key differences. Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon is insane. It's a neon-glazed tribute to 80's action films, featuring a gloriously stupid plot and gameplay that takes the best of Far Cry 3 and does it as over the top as it can.

For me, the joke never got old. I love that this game exists, and that it was produced by a major studio, no less. I only hope that we havent seen the last of Sergeant Rex Power Coltthat Blood Dragon follows in the footsteps of its predecessors and spawns a large number of even more preposterous sequels.
